Each Person Interprets Messages Differently
No matter what we listen to or what we watch, each and every one of us will have a different idea of what the message is. Each person interprets a message differently based on several things; age, gender, culture, experiences, values and beliefs. The interpretation of a message also changes with time, therefore, it is important for commercialists and advertisers to keep making new and fresh media in order to have the audience "hooked" for the rest of their lives.

One of the examples that I can share would be the video we were shown in class called, Inocente. It is about a girl who is homeless along with her brothers and sisters and her mother. She talks about how she is in love with art and drawing and that she cannot live without it. She speaks about her younger years and about her violent father. She also speaks about this open gallery that she was asked to do and about moving out to live on her own. At the end of the film, Inocente succeeds with the gallery as well as moving away into a shelter for teenagers.

We have watched a movie with the grade nine class, and when the film was over, we were also asked to talk about the message of the movie. It was impressive to hear how many different ideas and opinions people had. It must have some from experience and age. Because absolutely everyone had something different to say. In my opinion, this film is about fighting for what you believe in and overcoming your fears. It is relevant to my life experiences as I am always scared to try something new, but when I do, I feel proud of myself, I feel like I have succeeded in something.
